GCSE Media Students Get Tips from Channel 4!

On Friday 9th March, 52 of our Y11 media students were taken to the British Film Institute on London's Southbank for a study day on TV and Online News, a subject they will have to tackle in this summer's exam.

As well as a wealth of interactive case-studies, guidance and examples, students had an exclusive Q&A with Mike Smith, acting Head of Digital News at Channel 4. He was able to explain many aspects of his day-to-day role, the unique challenges of a rapidly changing industry and give advice and guidance on how to break into the news media.

Chalk Hills students presented themselves exceptionally in both the quantity and quality of their questions and responses. All students were extremely pleased and grateful for the usefulness of the experience in preparation for their summer exams.
