The Chalk Hills Academy were honoured with a visit from The Right Honourable Kelvin Hopkins, MP for Luton North on Tuesday 16th May. The visit was organised by Vince Neale and Kate Meeks leaders of the English Department at the Academy.
Kelvin was interviewed by members of our newly elected Leadership Committee; Joshua Holding and Libby Jay Head Boy and Girl and Kaliyah Gardner and Blad Razvan Moiseanu our deputy student leaders.
Kelvin spoke about his passion for politics and social justice and shared a few anecdotes regarding political life at Westminster. He was asked by the Academy Principal Mrs Lee about key lessons in leadership. “Always be true to your principles and lead by example” was his response.
Our students enjoyed their time with Kelvin who will no doubt be busy campaigning during the forthcoming election.
