The Norman Conquest Is Alive At TCHA!

The Norman Conquest Is Alive At TCHA!

Year 7 have been castle building in Miss Burr’s History class. The lessons have had a focus on what make a strong defensive structure. After using time in class to create and discuss the positives and negatives of Motte and Bailey castles, the class turned their attention towards Stone castles. The class looked at murder holes, portcullis defences and ramparts.

The class designed some amazing castles! A great turn out of large and small structures walked through the doors in the first few days back after Christmas, the castles were ALL fantastic and the effort and time was much appreciated. A special mention for Kacey Stubbs for her stone castle CAKE, which the whole class enjoyed eating, thank you. Our overall winner was Jason Muthunama Gonnage, his artistic representation of a stone castle was truly stunning. Thank you to all of 7e/h2 your hard work and endeavours which amazed us all.
