OUR ACADEMY IS OPEN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WITH PERSONALISED PROGRAMMES FOR OUR STUDENTS:

• Literacy programmes to improve reading and writing skills
• Numeracy programmes to sharpen mathematical skills
• Enhancement sessions – each subject area runs an extensive programme to support the students through critical periods.
• Sport clubs and teams.
• Guest speakers and workshops - we have a programme of special guests working with students to develop skills and share experiences onsite as well as online via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

The student voice carry out regular surveys to ensure the clubs and activities provided meet the varying needs and requirements of our student body and all are welcome to attend.

At Key Stage 4, opportunities are extended further through Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and personal and social development. Links with the business community enable students to apply theoretical study to real life situations. Together with a comprehensive careers programme this contributes well to students’ understanding of education and employment pathways.

Wider Curriculum Provision and Experiences

The Chalk Hills Academy offers a wide range of school clubs and activities. They are led by a number of departments and cover academic, creative and sporting disciplines.
